Comfort and Peace of Mind.
All with the Push of a Button.
Take control of your comfort with a professionally installed Compustar Remote Start system. Whether it’s a freezing winter morning or a sweltering summer afternoon, you can start your engine and activate your climate control from up to three miles away, ensuring your car is the perfect temperature the moment you open the door.
What kind of advanced security features come with a Compustar system?
Our Compustar security systems provide protection far beyond a basic factory alarm. They include a dual-stage shock sensor to detect light impacts and a full alarm for serious hits. We can also add sensors like tilt sensors (to prevent wheel/tire theft) and glass breakage sensors. If any sensor is triggered, the alarm sounds, and you receive instant notification on your two-way remote or through the DroneMobile app.
What is a Relay Attack, and how does Compustar protect my push-to-start vehicle from this modern theft method?
A Relay Attack is a high-tech theft method where criminals use devices to capture and amplify the weak signal of your keyless entry system from inside your home, tricking your vehicle into thinking the key fob is right next to the car. This allows them to unlock the doors and start the engine in seconds. The factory system cannot prevent this.
The Compustar anti-theft solution directly counters this threat with Secure Push-to-Start (SPTS) technology. When your Compustar security system is armed, it physically disables the push-to-start button on your dash. This means that even if a thief successfully uses a relay device to open your door, they cannot start the engine and drive away without first disarming the system using your authorized Compustar remote or the DroneMobile app. It's the ultimate barrier against relay attack car theft.
What is the maximum range I can start my vehicle?
Compustar systems offer industry-leading long range remote start, with some remotes providing up to three miles of max range.
2-Way confirmation is a critical feature: when you send a command (like 'Start' or 'Lock'), the remote confirms with an audible chime or an icon on its screen that the vehicle successfully received and executed that command. This gives you peace of mind knowing your car started, even when it's out of sight.
For virtually unlimited range, a smartphone add-on can be equipped allowing you to start and control your vehicle's security with the tap of a screen.
Will installing an aftermarket Compustar Remote Start system void my new car's factory warranty?
No, installing a Compustar remote start will not automatically void your car warranty. You are protected by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which is a federal law. A manufacturer can only deny a warranty claim if they can prove the aftermarket part or its installation directly caused the problem. Our professional technicians ensure a safe installation using vehicle-specific methods to protect your car's electronics and keep your warranty safe.
How does the DroneMobile app work, and is it better than the remote control?
DroneMobile is an optional module that provides unlimited range remote start by using an LTE cellular connection (like a tiny cell phone for your car). It's "better" for convenience because it lets you use your smartphone for vehicle control from virtually anywhere in the world. Key DroneMobile app features include remote start, lock/unlock, security alerts, GPS car tracking, and monitoring your car's battery and cabin temperature.
Can I control my heated seats or rear defroster with the remote start?
Yes! We can often program your Compustar system to control auxiliary functions specific to your vehicle. This means you can use your remote to activate features like your heated seats, heated steering wheel, or rear defroster. This is part of how we customize your car remote start setup to maximize your comfort during extreme weather.
